News: Christian Artist Steven Curtis Chapman Loses Daughter In Tragic SUV Accident
Contemporary Christian singer-songwriter and popular country crossover artist Steven Curtis Chapman suffered the loss of his youngest daughter, 5 year old Maria Sue Chapman, Wednesday (May 21) in a tragic accident involving his son’s SUV. Maria Sue was playing with some neighborhood children when she ran out in front of her brother’s Toyota Land Cruiser as he was pulling into the driveway. The teenage boy struck and killed his little sister, unaware that she was in his path. The events have been deemed a tragic accident with no fault directed towards the teenage son. The family was home at the time of the incident. Maria Sue was one of three adopted daughters that Steven and his wife Mary Beth welcomed into their home. The Tennessee Highway Patrol has confirmed it an accident and that the two children, Maria Sue and her teenage brother, were in the wrong place at the wrong time. No charges are expected to be placed. Steven is a 51 time Dove Award winner and a 5 time Grammy winner. Our hearts go out to him at his time of loss.

i’m sorry to hear about your daughter but some things are least expected. I’m sure you know that God still loves you and your family. God does everything for a reason and i know you loved your daughter and you probally dont think that it was her time but at least shes in a better place.
We have no words to tell you how you feel about this terrible accident. We only want you to know that the little angel Maria is now in heaven, and she will be always with you, and always remmember: GOD TAKES THE BEST FIRST, we all will go one day and we will be together there, as we were together here in earth.
Remember Maria the way she was with happiness, she left this world but she will be always in your hearts, and she knew how much she was loved.
