My predictions for CMA Awards 2008:

EOTY – Who else but Kenny (even though I think he’s very overrated).
Male Vocalist – Should go to Geo Strait, but Brad may win. (I do not see how one can say he’s a good singer.)
AOTY – Troubadour, George Strait. He’s amazing and this is a great CD.
Single of the Year – Will probably give it to Stay (but again, I Saw God Today, deserves it). If they give Video of Stay, I Saw God Today, may win in this Single category too.
Song of the Year – I Saw God Today
Female Vocalist – Who else, Carrie.
Duo – Sugarland, cause they ain’t winning EOTY.
Group – Rascal Flats, although Littlel Big Town is wonderful group.
Duet – Shiftwork, or Josh Turner/Trisha Yearwood.
    Video – Stay

EOTY- It probably will be same ole overrated Kenny Chesney!
Wish it would be Keith Urban.
MV- Probably Brad because he is Nashville’s Pet, but again, wish it would be Keith Urban.

FV – Carrie…better not be Taylor Swift! Leann Rimes should have been nominated.

SOY – I’ll take I Saw God Today….don’t really care who wins this.

    DUO – Sugarland
GROUP – Anybody but RFs…they are not good live!
DUET Collab – Sugarland with Little Big Town & Jake Owen
    VIDEO – Stay

EOTY: Kenny will most likely win, though I think that Keith Urban is LONNGGG overdue for this award. He puts on AMAZING shows. But based on the time of eligiby (July 1,2007-June 30,2008), Kenny will most likley be the winner, havin 2 #1s, a major tour and great album sales all in that time frame.

FVOTY: Carrie Underwood will go for a three-peat, hands down. Anyone who is to argue that clearly does not know ANYTHING about the CMAS and their voting. (Taylor Swift being in the category is a shame to country music IMHO.)

MVOTY: Brad Paisley will and definitley deserves a second win here. He’s had a string of what, 5 or 6 consecutive #1s lateley? And his major touring success? Yep, Carrie and Brad will once again be the king and queen of the year.

Album: This is the tightest cateogory of the evening. You’ve got Alan, George, Kenny, Brooks and Dunn, and Carrie (representing the women, baby). I think that Alan Jackson will probably win, because he “Went back to his roots” as they say, even though Carrie’s Carnival Ride is hands down the most deserving, going double platinum and having a string of 3 #1 hits in the time of eligiby. But again, my money’s on Alan.

Song: I want “Letter to Me” by Brad Paisley. It’s one of the best songs I’ve heard all year. It’s unique and very, VERY well written, focusing on a different audience. But who do I think will win? “I Saw God Today” by George Strait, but don’t count Sugarland or Trace Adkins out, either. I honestly think that “Don’t Blink” was just the necissary 5th nominee of the category…..

Single: Glad to see Miranda getting some love in this category. However, I believe that “You’re Gonna Miss This” will take home the prize. It’s time Trace got a little attention, and YGMT was a HUGE Career reviver for Trace.

    Duo-Sugarland. No competition whatsoever.

Group-Rascal Flatts will go for yet another win here. There’s just no way any of the other nominees can equal up to the success that these three men have had in the past year.

Duet-George and Kenny will win, I’ll be shocked if they don’t. Not a fan of the song but the other nominees in the cateogory haven’t had the success of “Shiftwork”.

Video-“Waitin’ on a Woman”. Andy Griffith in the video? And not to mention a GREAT and well written song? Paisley made yet another masterpiece with WOAW and I see him winning this award yet again. It’s the best video in the category, no questions asked. It’s a crime if they give it to Sugarland, that’s got to be one of the most boring videos I’ve ever seen in my life.

New Artist: As much as I’d LOVE to see Kellie get this, Rodney will win because he’s definitley had the most success. But don’t count Lady A out….

    Those are my predictions.

I’m changing my pick of the EOTY CMA 2008 award:
Don’t ask me why but i got this wonderful feeling that my man, George Strait, is going home with this award this year.
