Single Review: “Waitin’ On A Woman” by Brad Paisley

June 14, 2008

Brad pulls an Urban and releases his newest single from “5th Gear”, a song that was previously released and considered as a single from “Time Well Waisted”. Although the song isn’t among Brad’s better hits, it still contains the energy and power that makes Brad’s ballads shine like stars.

The story narrates the conversation between and older and a younger man as they explain to each other how important a woman is in a man’s life and how although it may be annoying to have to wait for them all the time in many situations, it’s always worth it in the end.

Brad may not score his biggest hit with this one, but it’s nice to hear a simple and stripped down song from him for a change. This song may not shine as brightly as a lot of Brad’s more comedic tunes, but it manages to preserve his sense of humor and his ability to pull off a powerful and simplistic message within almost to a T.

Sorry, I just don’t get into Brad! He talks through a song to music…not really singing to me! Sorta boring!
