Single Review: “Every Day” by Rascal Flatts

February 20, 2008

This is a disappointment. The Flatts boys, although I’ve always been a fan, have really been off their game the past few singles and this is no different. The song features a man explaining to his woman how her love saves his life…nothing new at all from the boys. Its the same old mushy stuff that has made up most of their recent album and their past two singles. Its basically a re-written take on “Bless The Broken Road”. Its a nice song in itself and would do wonders for an up and coming act, but from a group with the stature and experience that these boys have it just doesn’t cut it at all. Plain a simple, great song, great band, bad combination.
