Single Review: “You Can Let Go” by Crystal Shawanda
February 15, 2008
You don’t hear new voices like this anymore in country music. Crystal brings something very new to the table, a mix of modern image and passion and traditional sound and feeling. This daughter/daddy song just brings you right in and makes you really feel the song. Crystal’s voice expresses true emotion and sincerity in every word. This is just a song and a voice you need to hear to believe, its just pure platinum country music magic in its prime.

I love her voice, but the song itself isn’t that great. Still I’m hoping for a big hit because I want to hear more from her, and it’s about time us native americans had a representitive in country music.
On another note why the sudden push for female country singers of different race. There’s Rissi Palmer, Star De Azlan, and now Crystal Shawanda.
You can hear in her voice that she was born and raised a country girl : with the love of country music! She is truly inspirational with amazing talent!!
