Throughout history much of country music has been based off of patriotic support for America, its freedom and its troops. From extream supporters like Charlie Daniels, to former soldiers turned singers like Craig Morgan and Josh Gracin war from all sides has been one of the genres most respectable and focused topics.

From the civil war to Vietnam to the war of today in Iraq support for soldiers has been one of the strongest areas for country singers. Recently I took a class for college based on the Vietnam War and decided to explore the songs that have been made to support or relate to US soldiers from today and yesterday. The result is a compilation of the 30 best songs about soldiers that have graced country music in all its patriotic prime. From coming home, to death and even coming home and hoping to die, these songs tackle every side of what its like to be a soldier and/or a veteran from some of the biggest, and smallest names in the business. So I hope you guys enjoy the Top 30 Soldier Songs of country music.
