Single Review: “Good Time” by Alan Jackson
This is one of my favorite tracks off his album of the same name and it’s about time we heard another weekend warrior tribute for a change. It’s also nice for Alan to bring out a fast paced song off his album instead of going with another more personal or mid tempo one. As you can probably tell this song is all about having a good time, specifically on the weekend. As a country boy it is appropriate that Alan throws in nods to Hank Jr. and B&D as part of an enjoyable weekend making this song even more enjoyable for his country listeners.
No doubt in my mind this will become a summertime anthem and will probably hit it big. The entire song is fun to listen to and Alan is having a good time as well. I can’t say yet whether this will be another #1 hit for Alan, but I can say that with the summer months rolling around and people enjoying their weekends a lot more this song was surely released at the right time.
